Well, we hit our goal in the Bike Rack pledge drive for North Oak Cliff. In twenty days, we raised over $1,500 with online funds that ranged from as low as $10 up to $150. It was truly a grassroots campaign, and it was great to see residents, business leaders, city council members, and state reps, pitch in towards the effort as well. So to hold up our end of the bargain, we're planning a big event to celebrate. I met with Julie of the Make Store in Bishop Arts District, and together we're going to try and pull this together as quickly as possible...or at least before the cold sets in. We've reached out to several area bike vendors, clothiers, etc., and are going to have a range of events for all ages. Should be a blast!

I've contacted pipe manufacturers on Fort Worth Avenue to get quotes on having the racks fabricated. If we can get a good price, we'll probably be able to get more than the five we originally planned on acquiring. I can't wait!
